Tales from the Poor Farm

My name is Stephanie Griffith, and I am a 40 year old wife and mother of seven children. About a year and a half ago we moved out to the country, and bought the old county poor farm to fix up. It’s been something of an adventure. I work in memory care, and almost everyday someone tells me that I should be writing down my stories of these days when my children are young, so that someday, when we have long forgotten them, we can look back and reminisce. As a lover of history, and a friend to the aged, I can appreciate the truth that the small, everyday events of ordinary lives, in the end, add up to something quite extraordinary. It is in that spirit, as a way of preserving these memories, that I have started this blog.
